500,000 house holds never turn their central heating off

A brand new study found that as many as 500,000 homes throughout the UK keep their heating on all year round, which includes during the hot summer months.
The investigation has also discovered that a third of people also leave their heating on all night all through the winter months and 46% of homes will switch their heating on for the very first time in October.
2,000
people were asked for the survey that also revealed Britons can be hugely wasteful with their energy. Well over 1 / 2 of every home have at least one room that is heated even though nobody uses it and only one fifth of us will switch off radiators in bedrooms which are not used regularly.
Replacing aspects of your
heating might help make your own home much more energy efficient and may allow you to keep your heating costs to a minimum. There are a number of heating options available, so you don’t need to simply stick with what you have now.
Many people now decide to replace the central heating radiators within their bathrooms with towel radiators or heated up towel rails, since these might be much more effective at heating these spaces and also to give you the benefit of warm and cosy towels when you get out of the bath or shower.
Other heating systems, such as underfloor heating, also have become a little more popular and if you’re looking for supplies to heat your bathrooms more efficiently, check out BestBathrooms.
